Our Allies

Tamaulipas
The Government of Tamaulipas has partnered with Earth Carbon to launch one of the most ambitious conservation and carbon credit initiatives in Latin America. Covering over 2 million hectares, the program protects the El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, the Sierra Madre forests, and the mangrove ecosystems of Laguna Madre.
This effort was formally presented at Rice University’s Baker Institute in Houston, Texas, under the leadership of the Honorable Secretary of Urban Development and Climate Change (SEDUMA), Karina Saldivar, together with Jim Blackburn of BCarbon and Marcela Ronquillo of Earth Carbon. It will serve as a model for conservation finance in Mexico, uniting local communities, science, and international voluntary carbon markets to create a legacy of climate resilience and biodiversity protection.
Chiapas
The amazing State of Chiapas is moving forward with a carbon credit project that highlights the extraordinary richness of its lands. From lush rainforests and cloud-covered mountains to rivers and cultural treasures along the Mayan Route, Chiapas represents one of the most valuable ecosystems to preserve for future generations.
This initiative is being advanced through an alliance between the University of Chiapas, Rice University, the Government of Chiapas, Earth Carbon, and BCarbon. Together, we are protecting the region’s natural capital while ensuring that local communities benefit socially and economically from conservation within the international voluntary carbon markets.

Private Landowners
In Mexico, private landowners — cattle ranchers, sorghum producers, and grassland stewards — are already uniting with Earth Carbon in a model of conservation and opportunity.
We are currently developing carbon programs on 750,000 hectares of sorghum soils and 300,000 hectares of cattle and synegetic ranches, proving that landowners can generate trusted carbon credits while improving land stewardship.
With Earth Carbon, landowners work side by side with scientists, agricultural experts, and community leaders to ensure that each hectare not only stores carbon, but also creates value for families, communities, and future generations.
“Earth Carbon develops your project for the legacy of your family, your community, and the planet.”
