Guillermo C. Martínez

Guillermo Carlos Martínez Verduzco is a professional with a solid background in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, and geospatial analysis. His experience spans over a decade, with a specific focus on applying spatial technologies for the monitoring and management of natural

and territorial resources. He holds a master's degree and a specialization in Geomatics, in addition to a bachelor's degree in Biology.


Throughout his career, he has held key roles in various organizations, including positions as a Geospatial Analyst and Emissions Consultant. Among his most important achievements is his work as the project manager for the ERMEX (Mexico Receiving Station) at the SIAP (Agri-food and Fisheries Information Service). In this role, he was not only responsible for the station's management and administration but also provided guidance and support for the use and application of satellite imagery for various purposes. This experience included coordinating activities focused on using this data through geospatial applications and promoting the use of satellite technology in the agri-food and fisheries sector.


As an independent consultant, he has worked on projects related to the detection of invasions in natural protected areas, the modeling of development areas for biological species, and spatial analysis for territorial planning. He is also a regular speaker and professor at academic events, where he shares his knowledge on the use of Earth observation and satellite imagery in various contexts, including climate change.
