Gaston Santos

Gastón Santos is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Earth Carbon LLC and Ambassador of EarthX, the world’s largest environmental platform. He is a leader who bridges sustainability, enterprise, and culture, committed to advancing conservation and climate action in Mexico and beyond. From 2015 to 2018, he served as Federal Delegate of the Department of Agriculture (SAGARPA) in San Luis Potosí, representing more than 200,000 producers and serving as liaison with the Governor of the State, with responsibility for 300 employees and 350 service providers across 7 rural districts. He designed and implemented programs to support women and youth in agriculture, mechanization, and sustainable land use. In the private sector, in addition to being a cattle rancher, Gastón has led international consulting projects in energy, technology, and real estate across North America, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East, working with companies such as Rigby Refining (Houston) and Nice Tech (Barcelona).

He is also internationally recognized as a professional rejoneador (bullfighter on horseback), with more than 350 public performances in Mexico and Portugal, ranked #1 in Mexico, and honored by taking the Doctorate Caballero en Plaza in Lisbon. His career was highlighted by National Geographic.

Today, as COO of Earth Carbon, Gastón combines his experience in government, enterprise, and culture to advance carbon credit programs that protect ecosystems, strengthen rural communities, and create sustainable economic models for Mexico.
